Goldenhill Railings
Goldenhill Railings
$0.00
Goldenhill Railings were commissioned to replace existing railings which surround a section of the Antonine Wall, which is a World Heritage site in Goldenhill Park in Dumbartonshire. The railings also act as an interpretive piece. All focal points along the line of this Roman wall have been assigned different themes and the one given to Goldenhill was how the wall was built. The railing tops are representative of the turfs out of which the wall was built. The tools used to cut these and the measuring instruments are portrayed on two faces. The other faces represent the opposing Roman and Celtic sides of the wall. The corner posts show units of measure.
